My family and I moved to Northern Virginia in August 2010, bought a fixer upper in Alexandria and will hopefully have home improvements completed before we either sell it or rent it. We call it “The House that Could” because from the outside you wouldn’t know how much space there is on the inside. It’s a ”gramercy” style with 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a full basement and a decent sized backyard. Twelve years ago, we did a total renovation on another house in North Carolina and it worked out well. I just noticed, I’ve been using “we” a lot. I have lots of ideas for decor and improvement but, have to admit, John does most of the work!
I didn’t blog back then and really wish I had documentation of the last house ~ my memory is not the best these days 
The purpose of this blog is to document all projects for future reference and maybe it’ll help other homeowners do some DIY projects.
